3 years, hundreds of interviews, dozens of Prides (including our own), many outreach programmes and a handful of crazy events left us realising that whilst the community has come a long way, there is still some way to go.
Community engagement away from Pride is sometimes still lacking and with vicious attacks on particularly the Trans community in the press, show that advocacy and education is now more important that ever.
At Rainbows over Medway, we provide support, education, advocacy and visibility for the LGBT+ community of Medway and much further (worldwide).
The past 3 years running Medway Pride Radio exposed us to very real needs within the LGBT+ community both locally and nationally. During this time, we have been fortunate enough to make a lot of friends and sadly some are no longer with us. This has often been as a result of a lack of access to support structures, education and community. And we want to change that.
We are proud to sponsor Verity Smith who plays for Leeds Rhinos wheelchair rugby team
We are working on various LGBT+ projects and events that will launch over the summer. Check back for more details soon.

While we offer practical support of our own, we also work with a host of fantastic organisations across the country. So if you need support, please reach out and we will find the organisations or services that are right for you.
